Work on Lithuania's LNG terminal quay continues

Two high-pressure gas sleeves have been assembled and installed at the Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) terminal quay during the weekend in Klaipeda, reports LETA/LETA.
One German-made high-pressure gas transmission sleeve is 26.5 metre high and weighs 50 tonnes. They underwent a stress test last week and it was determined that they comply with quality and safety requirements.
In June the work was completed on reinforced concrete structure in the quay, fire protection pipes and fire pumps were delivered, as well as gas containers, diesel generators and other components. In order to accelerate the construction, fifth crane was brought to the sight.
In July work on installing the main equipment in the service platform will commence. It is hoped that the work hydrotechnical units will be completed in August.
