Gazprom will also negotiate on gas price with Lithuanian Achema

Russian gas concern Gazprom and Lithuanian producer of fertilisers and other chemical products Achema will soon launch negotiations on the price of natural gas supplied to the company, Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevicius informed the Seimas on Thursday during the Government's hour, reports LETA/ELTA.

"Negotiating with Gazprom on expert level (I attended the negotiations several times), we also touched the issue of gas price for Achema, when talking about fair gas price for Lithuania. It is probably no secret that Gazprom had promised to negotiate with Achema after dealing with gas price for household users," Butkevicius said.

 

According to the prime minister, Head of Lithuania's gas supplier Lietuvos Dujos, Viktoras Valentukevicius, was promised by Gazprom that Achema's leadership will be invited for talks this or next week.

 

Based on the data of the Ministry of Energy, AB Achema consumed 1084,3 million cubic meters of gas in 2013.

 

As reported, Lietuvos Dujos and Gazprom signed an agreement on new price formula for imported natural gas which will be in effect until 31 December 2015.
