Alexela wants to fully buy Kiviõli Keemiatööstus

Estonian Alexela fuel concern submitted an application to the Competition Board to buy the other half of the Kiviõli Keemiatööstus chemicals industry too, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

The price of the transaction is confidential.

 

Alexela Energia bought the first 50% of Kiviõli Keemiatööstus at the end of December 2011.

 

Alexela Energia has invested over 15 mln euros in the development of Kiviõli Keemiatööstus in the past two years, the majority of which were environmental investments.

 

The development strategy of Kiviõli Keemiatööstus prescribes for the years 2015-2020 55 mln euros of investments, as the result of which 100 new jobs would be created in addition to the existing 650 jobs.

 

Alexela Energia is a part of the Alexela group and owns stakes in AS Alexela Oil and AS Reola Gaas. Businessmen who are among owners of Alexela Energia also are planning an LNG terminal in Paldiski.

 

A half of the Kiviõli Keemiatööstus belongs to Toomas and Raivo Tamm. The oil shale industry company had net turnover of over 35 million EUR in 2013.
