Butkevicius thinks that Latvia's frustration about Lithuania's delay to make the decision is ungrounded.

"I am going to tell my colleagues in Latvia that the decision has been made at the Seimas, to be more precise – the resolution which requires the Government to present draft laws () by May. I think that frustration should not be valid, "said the PM, Thursday to the radio Ziniu Radijas.

Butkevicius says that he takes the stand that "political decisions on very important strategic issues should be based on economic logic". Examples of other European States show that the breach of such position may lead to bad consequences.
