Lietuvos Energija looks for biofuel suppliers

Print versionLithuania-based energy company Lietuvos Energija has announced a tender for the biofuel supply.

The fuel out of renewable resources will be purchased for the consumption in 2014. It will be used in the new heat-generating biofuel boilers of Lithuanian power plant, writes LETA/ELTA.
Lietuvos Energija is also planning to acquire up to 16,000 tonnes of oil equivalent biofuels. It estimated that around 100,000 cubic meters of wood will be necessary.
The winners of the tender will be announced November, this year. The required biofuel may be purchased from several suppliers who will propose the best deals.
It is planned that the new biofuel boilers will generate 40 MW output.
