Estonia gets first nature protection development plan ever

The Estonian government approved on Thursday of the nature protection development plan till 2020, which provides the possibility and instructions of directing Estonian nature protection at state levels so that species would be preserved, the loss of their habitats was minimal and their state would improve, LETA/Public Broadcasting reports.

Earlier, nature protection development plan has not been compiled as an official document and thus it is the first time that the whole nature protection is analysed at the state level systematically.

 

The direct costs of implementing the nature protection development plan is forecast to be around 582.2 million euros.
