Polish Energy Group (PGE) has expressed its interest in joining Lithuania's new nuclear power plant Visaginas project, The Lithuania Tribune reports.

All regional partners from Estonia, Latvia and Poland should make their offers to Lithuania in the first three months of 2011, the Polish news agency PAP informed.

The agency reported on 23 November that the PGE confirmed that it is in negotiations with Visaginas plant. It also said that the size of its stake in Visaginas would depend on what offer a potential strategic investor is to make, writes LETA/ELTA.

Only the South Korean Korea Electric Power Corp. has confirmed that it has submitted a bid to become a strategic investor. Lithuanian media speculates that an American company is also interested in participating in the project.
