Kubilius: no problems with Venezuelan oil transit via Lithuania
Port of Klaipeda. |
Lukashenko stated that Latvia offered more beneficial conditions for the transit of the Venezuelan oil than Lithuania, writes LETA/ELTA.
"I can not really comment on the words of President Lukashenko. I can only recall that in early October the working groups of the two countries convened in Palanga that were set up just after my meeting with the prime minister and the president of Belarus in late June. They discussed the full range of instruments of our cooperation on energy matters after the Belarus side had requested the opportunity to transport oil, and perhaps take part in LNG terminal construction and other energy projects. As far as I was informed in early October, when the working groups met, there were no problems related to further cooperation between companies in transporting the so-called Venezuelan oil via Klaipeda," the Lithuanian prime minister commented on Lukashenko's statement on Friday.
