Juhan Tere, BC, Tallinn, 28.01.2010.Print version
Estonian Riigikogu adopted the amendments to the Electricity Market Act, writes LETA referring to the National Broadcasting.

The new law will leave the Narva Power Plants without the renewable energy subsidies for using chopped wood for fuel and will guarantee the State support for building two new power plants to be fuelled with oil shale.

72 MPs voted in favor of the draft law while no members of Riigikogu voted against. Four MPs remained neutral.

The main aim of the new law is to provide for the establishment of the electricity bourse.
