A new large shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States has arrived in Lithuania, marking the third such cargo since the start of the new gas year in October and the ninth one in the Klaipeda LNG terminal's six years of operation, writes LETA/BNS.

The Arctic Discoverer gas carrier docked at the FSRU Independence on Tuesday morning, according to the vessel tracking websites Marinetraffic.com, Myshiptracking.com and Vesselfinder.com.

Klaipedos Nafta the terminal's operator, told earlier that the tanker was to deliver 138,000 cubic meters of LNG to the Lithuanian port.

The vessel came from Cheniere Energy's Sabine Pass LNG export terminal in Louisiana.
