BC, Vilnius, 09.07.2020.Print version
A new cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Russia's gas company Novatek arrived in the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda on Thursday, writes LETA/BNS.

The Coral Favia came from Russia's Baltic Sea port of Vysotsk where Novatek has an LNG facility, according to the vessel tracking websites marinetraffic.com and myshiptracking.com.

Klaipedos Nafta, the terminal's operator, told that the Coral Favia tanker had delivered 9,500 cubic meters of LNG.

The Coral Fungia should deliver another small LNG cargo to Klaipeda on Saturday, which would bring to 40 the number of such deliveries in the ongoing gas year that began on Oct. 1.

A new large shipment of LNG from Norway was delivered to Klaipeda last weekend, marking the 14th such cargo in the current gas year. The Arctic Aurora brought 138,000 cubic meters of LNG from Norway's Melkoya port where Equinor has an LNG production facility.

Four large US gas shipments have also arrived in Klaipeda since October.
