Electrum: Electricity price up 5% across in Lithuania in May

The average wholesale electricity price went up by 5 percent in Lithuania in May, from April, but still remained the lowest in the Baltic states, according to the independent electricity supplier Elektrum Lietuva.
The average electricity price in the Nord Pool Spot Lithuanian bidding area stood at 24.52 euros per MWh. It rose 6% to 25.02 euros in Estonia and went up by 4% to 24.53 euros per MWh.
The average monthly electricity prices rose in almost all Nord Pool power exchange's bidding areas in May, compared to April.
The average price stood at 11.30 euros in the Nordic countries, and the difference with the Baltic states went shrank to 13 euros per MWh.
The Baltic states' overall electricity production increased by 8% to 1,047 GWh, covering 51% of the region's needs.
