Latvian electricity price rose 9% last week

The average wholesale electricity price in Latvia and Estonia rose by 9% last week to EUR 29.81 per megawatt-hour (MWh), LETA was told at Latvenergo energy company

In Lithuania, the wholesale electricity price climbed 6 percent to EUR 28.88 per MWh. 

Across the Nord Pool system, the average price fell by 24 percent to EUR 12.4 per MWh.


The three Baltic countries' overall power consumption edged down by 1% w-o-w. Their total electricity production decreased by 2% to 325 gigawatt-hours (GWh), covering 55% of their needs.
