Ventspils nafta posts slight decrease in turnover, fivefold fall in losses in 2014

Ventspils nafta (Ventspils Oil) posted EUR 161.87 million in turnover in 2014, which is almost 3% less than in 2013 when the company's turnover totaled EUR 166.73 million. The company's losses decreased from EUR 61.21 million in 2013 to EUR 13.83 million last year, as Ventspils nafta representatives announced LETA yesterday.

Euromin Holding (Cyprus) Limited, a Vitol group company, is the largest shareholder in Ventspils nafta with 49.98% of shares. LNT, a subsidiary of oil product transshipment terminal Ventbunkers, owns 43.25% of Ventspils nafta shares.

 

Ventspils nafta, in turn, owns a 51% stake in Ventspils nafta terminals, the largest oil and oil products terminal in the Baltic countries, as well as 66% in Latvian-Russian joint venture LatRosTrans, and 49.94% in shipping company Latvijas Kugnieciba.
