Japanese participants of youth exchange programme visited Lithuanian Foreign Ministry

On 6 September, participants of youth exchange programme from Japan (funded by the Japanese Government) visited Lithuania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where they met with Political Director of the Ministry Eitvydas Bajarunas, reported BC the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

Priorities of Lithuania's foreign policy were presented and the history of Lithuania's diplomacy was briefly introduced, as well as relations with the countries in the region, Lithuania's ties with Asia and plans of the Lithuanian foreign policy were discussed at the meeting. Twelve young people from Japan between 18 and 30 years of age participate in the programme during which they are visiting Lithuania for three weeks.

 

This programme provides an opportunity for the Japanese to visit Lithuanian cities, learn about the Lithuanian culture, the foreign and domestic policies, economy, scientific achievements and everyday life, visit various Lithuanian state institutions and participate in the discussions with the Lithuanian youth.

 

Under this programme, twelve young people from Lithuania visited Japan in July.
