University of Tartu again ranks high among world's best universities

Print versionThe University of Tartu in 2017 has placed 301-350 for the second year in a row in the prestigious Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings published on September 6th, reports LETA/BNS.

The THE World University Rankings 2018 are the only international
university performance tables to judge world class universities across all of
their core missions - teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international
outlook.
This year THE ranked 1,000 universities around the world. Another Estonian
university which ranked was the Tallinn University of Technology which placed
601-800.
For the first time in the 14-year history of the table the U.K. is home to
the top two institutions - the University of Oxford and the University of
Cambridge - while California Institute of Technology placed third.
