Latvia provides teaching aids to Kabul Polytechnic University

Latvia has been helping Kabul Polytechnic University in the Afghan capital city by providing teaching aids to the university's department of railway engineering, LETA was told at the Latvian Transport Ministry.
A delegation led by the Transport Ministry's assistant state secretary Dins Merirands visited Kabul from November 28 to December 4. The visit continued cooperation launched with Kabul Polytechnic University in 2012 with an aim to promote the development of Afghanistan's railway industry.
In collaboration with the professional Daugavpils Technical College, Riga Technical University (RTU) and Latvijas Dzelzcels (Latvian Railways, LDz), the ministry arranged the delivery of teaching aids to Afghanistan, including multimedia equipment.
During the visit Merirands and Afghanistan's minister for higher education signed an agreement on the donation of the teaching aids to Afghanistan.
