„Lighthouses of Latvia” by Andris Cekuls features stories of both – active lighthouses and ones that are not in operation anymore.
It consists of more than 250 scenic photos and schematics as well as scanned news articles that describe the coastal and lighthouse history in detail alongside the technical characteristics and interesting historical trivia.
The book is published to help retain the evidence of an era slowly being forgotten – Latvian lighthouses as a guarantee of every sailor’s security.
