Other activities are aimed at the transfer of Latvia’s experience in agricultural and rural development and in promoting regional growth. Latvian experts will also share their knowledge of reforms towards European integration. The projects will be completed by the end of this year.

The projects will be carried out by the Latvian Rural Advisory and Training Centre, the “Centre for Public Policy PROVIDUS” association, the State Plant Protection Service of Latvia, Riga Graduate School of Law, SIA Civitta Latvia, and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development jointly with the Latvian Green Movement association.

On 12 May 2015, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia decided on support for Ukraine to the amount of 300,000 euro for the implementation of various reforms. Of this, 150,000 euro was allocated for development cooperation projects, but the remaining amount – for contribution to international organisations and foundations that provide assistance to Ukraine.
