BC, Riga, 21.04.2020.Print version
To ensure public health and safety in the current Covid-19 emergency and make information about the restrictions introduced in Latvia available to every resident of the country, English and Russian translations of the legislative acts concerning the state of emergency have been posted at likumi.lv, LETA was told at the Justice Ministry.

The ministry's representatives informed that the crisis-related legislation is being translated in close inter-institutional cooperation. The English translations are provided by translators from the State Language Center, while the Russian translations are done by court translators. The official gazette Latvijas Vestnesis, which develops and maintains likumi.lv website, deals with the technicalities associated with the publication of the translations on the internet.

The Justice Ministry's state secretary Raivis Kronbergs praised institutions of Latvia's judicial system for quick and close cooperation in providing the necessary information on Latvia's legislative acts concerning Covid-19 to all residents of Latvia.
