"Estonia supports EU enlargement and we expect the EU to start accession negotiations with Macedonia," Mikser was quoted by Foreign Ministry spokespeople as saying. "We are glad that Macedonia's government has decided to continue reforms that have been stalled in the meantime."

The foreign minister confirmed Estonia supports Macedonia's efforts to join NATO "in every way" and is ready to share its experience if necessary. "We commend Macedonia for plans already implemented in support of the country's Euro-Atlantic integration," Mikser said.

Speaking about the relations between Estonia and Macedonia, Mikser highlighted cooperation in the field of information technology. "There are many opportunities for cooperation in the digital field and Estonia could share more of its experience through different cooperation projects," he said.

Macedonia's Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov also visited Estonia on Oct. 31.
