After the UK referendum on leaving the EU, it is important for the EU to remain united, said Baltic and Nordic foreign ministers in a joint teleconference on June 27th, informs LETA/BNS, according to the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

The foreign ministers of Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Denmark, Finland and Sweden underscored that they respect the choice of the British nation and voiced hopes that the leaving procedure will be smooth.

"We have to wait for the official note of the UK on its decision to leave the EU. We understand that the UK needs time, but hesitation would only increase uncertainty," Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius said.
