In a press conference after a meeting in Helsinki today, almost all of the questions directed at the presidents by members of the press was in relation to Russia. President Berzins admitted that people in Finland, just like in Latvia, are extremely concerned on the development of events both in Ukraine and Russia, and are worried about their future.

''Latvia supports strengthening sanctions against Russia in the military sector,'' Berzins emphasized.

Meanwhile, the Finnish president said that his country has and will continue to support the EU's common position on this matter.

The Latvian president is being accompanied to Finland by a delegation of 90 entrepreneurs and five ministers.
