Dalia Grybauskaite and Petro Poroshenko exchanged views on the deteriorating security situation in eastern Ukraine, including intensified military action in which civilians are killed despite efforts to reach political agreement.

During bilateral meetings, the President also noted that the changing security situation in Europe and ongoing geopolitical processes should not delay the implementation of structural reforms in these countries.

The Lithuanian President and Georgian Prime Minister reviewed EU visa liberalization issues, implementation of the provisions of association and free trade agreements, and preparations for the upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Riga this May.

Lithuania supports the European choice of Ukrainian and Georgian people and stands ready to offer expert assistance on issues of implementation of reforms.

In Davos, the President also held a meeting with the Secretary General of the Council of Women World Leaders, Laura Liswood. The discussion focused on top priorities on the Council agenda. President Grybauskaite was elected to chair the Council of Women World Leaders in September 2014.
