Other events in Baltic States

On the 16th of September, the biggest MTB event of the Baltic States and the third biggest marathon in the world will be held in Estonia. For the last years SEB Tartu mountain bike marathon (SEB Tartu Rattamaraton) has held the position of second biggest marathon in front of Cykel Vasa and after Birkebeinerrittet, but since last week when Cykel Vasa hosted over 10 500 cyclists the Estonian marathon placed third, reported BC at Club Tartu Maraton.

Last year the program of SEB Tartu MTB marathon hosted altogether 7304 participants which considering the population of Estonia (about 1, 4 million people) is a really good result. SEB Tartu MTB marathon is also popular among foreigners – last year people from 12 different countries participated.

The main marathon takes place on the 16^th of September with the distances of 89 and 40 km. The course of the marathon takes participants to the course of world-known Tartu ski marathon which has said to be one of the most interesting ski marathon tracks in the world.

In addition to the main race Estonian championships in MTB marathon will be held in frame of the main race also. Every participant can also enjoy spectacular MTP sprint which is held one day before the main race. MTB sprint competition is open for elite racers only.
