Baltic Host exercise ends
On Monday, the allied forces reception training exercise Baltic Host will end in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, which is the last one of the large international exercises held in the Baltic States in June 2012, LETA/Estonian Public Broadcasting reports.
Over six days, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, German-Dutch corps, representatives of international headquarters and civilian institutions practiced simultaneously cooperation in Tartu, Riga and Nemencine in a situation where the allied forces arrive in the states and tested the legal acts, contacts and cooperation procedures.
The series of international exercises started with the BALTOPS exercise on June 4-23, during which Estonian military received the U.S. ship John P. Bobo in Paldiski and practiced transport of machinery and equipment with U.S. marines. On June 11-22, U.S. European forces held the exercise Saber Strike in Estonia and Latvia to practice for the Afghanistan mission. Estonia has had the leading role in the exercises in the Baltic States this year. International exercises have brought over 2,000 military of the allies in the Baltic States.
