BC, Riga, 26.06.2012.Print version
Ted Nolan, the chief coach of the Latvian national ice hockey team, will remain in the position for another season, said Latvian Ice Hockey Federation (LHF) president Kirovs Lipmans, informs Baltic News Service/the Latvian Institurte.
The agreement with Nolan, under whose leadership, the Latvian national ice hockey team won the 10th place in this year's world championship, which was its best result in three years, will be extended for another year. "We had talks with Nolan, in which we agreed on continuing cooperation," said Lipmans.
Nolan was appointed as the chief coach in August 2011, and his agreement expired on May 31. After the world championship, in which the Latvian team did not meet the goal of getting among the top eight teams, Lipmans was not sure whether the agreement with Nolan should be extended.
