Seimas Deputy Speaker Alfredas Pekeliunas proposes to oblige producers of tobacco items to provide not only warning notes but also visual information on harmful effect of tobacco products on every pack of a tobacco product sold to customers, informs LETA.

Such amendments project to the law on tobacco control was registered by Pekeliunas in the Seimas secretariat.

A politician hopes that such regulation will have bigger influence of social promotion to customers and will more demonstratively inform on harm of tobacco produce to human health. Moreover, according to Pekeliunas, in some other countries regulations about visual information are already consolidated.
