BC, Tallinn, 13.04.2011.Print version

The 16th annual International Baltic Ballet Festival continues tonight with two one-act productions ("Othello" and "Who Cares") by the Estonian Opera and Ballet Theater "Estonia", writes LETA.

Last evening, as is the festival's tradition, a free "concert for the people" took place in the main concourse of the Central Railway Station, featuring solo singers and dancers from the Klaipeda (Lithuania) Musical Theater.

The troupe entertained the large crowd with numbers from the operettas "Die Fledermaus", "The Merry Widow", "Ball at the Savoy" and "The Csardas Princess".

As the festival's founder and long-time director, Lita Beiris, stated at a press conference: "This event is a unique opportunity for each and every one to enjoy a top-notch artistic performance free of charge in a democratic and accessible environment."
