Kristiina Poska, one of the popular Estonian conductors, had Berlin performances of Verdi on her docket in December 2010, and many other "talents abroad" had a busy season.

Poska conducted two performances of "La Traviata" at the Comic Opera Berlin, a Christmas concert and Puccini's "La Boheme", writes LETA.

Estonian conductor Mihkel Kütson conducted "Hansel and Gretel" at the Dresden Opera, and Estonian opera singers performed in four other renowned theaters over the holidays.

Soprano Liisi Kasenõmm sang three nights as Mimi in Puccini's "La Boheme" at Berlin's Brandenburger Theatre, tenor Juhan Tralla performed on December 23 as Alfredo in Verdi's "La Traviata" in Mannheim.

Bass Ain Anger could be seen throughout the month in Amsterdam playing Rocco in Beethoven's "Fidelio", and baritone Lauri Vasar will have three more performances of "La Boheme" in 2010 – he is in the role of Schaunard at the La Monnaie in Brussels.
