Riga's Daile Theater (DT) informs the public today about the passing of veteran actress and director Zigrida Stungure (born 1928).

Stungure was engaged by Daile after five years with the Liepaja Drama Theater company and her cinema triumph as Madara in "Frost in Spring" ("Salna pavasari"), writes LETA.

Stungure played numerous leading roles in her prime, and later made her debut as a director. She also taught acting.
