President of Ukraine to visit Latvia in mid-December

Print versionUkrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is to visit Latvia on December 15 and 16, LETA was informed by the Chancery of Latvian President Valdis Zatlers.
An official welcome is being planned for Yanukovych by Riga Castle, followed by meetings with Zatlers and other high state officials.
Foreign Minister Girts Valdis Kristovskis (Unity) yesterday indicated following a meeting with Zatlers that the two had discussed the upcoming visit.
The President's Chancery noted that more detailed information on the visit would be revealed later, including on whether this would be an official or state visit.
