A forum "Health Services 2018" will take place in Estonia on October 7, 2010, organized by Estonian Development Fund dedicated to the prospects of Estonia's medical services development on the global market, LETA/Estonian Development Fund reports.

The themes of the forum are dedicated to possibilities of Estonia to become a part of the rapidly growing global health- and wellness services business and the speeding up of the strategic discussion between important participants in Estonia.

On agenda of the event, there are possibilities of the health tourism in Estonia, comments from the current Estonian health service exporters and broader discussions, strategies and business models at health-care sectors in Estonia, first steps of neighboring Latvia on global business of health care services, and Hungary's experience in developing European-level affordable dentists services which are now very popular among inhabitants of various countries in the EU.

"Need for the health care services is growing in the world quicker than the ability of healthcare systems to answer. Hence the favorable climate has been created for the export of the service. In cooperation with the PRAXIS Centre for Policy Studies Development Fund analysed the possibilities for Estonia to answer the need," as presenters of the coming forum Ain Aaviksoo from PRAXIS and Imre Mürk from Development Fund of Estonia pointed out.

"Estonia has shown some promise, certain experience and considerable possibilities for expansion of health service export. The choice of our strategy depends on our ambitions and will to mobilize our efforts and resources for common goal," the strategies of Estonia will be presented by Ain Aaviksoo and Imre Mürk.
