No demonstrations registered for the NATO ministerial meeting in Tallinn
Print versionMore radical activists’ groups in Estonia seem to have a rather tepid view towards the NATO meeting of ministers of foreign affairs, writes LETA/Postimees Online.
Neither the police authorities nor the Tallinn City Government has received any applications or notices from any groupings about their plans to organise a public demonstration or gathering during the ministerial meeting.
The organisation Night Watch (Notchnoi Dozor) that became known for their opposition against removal of the bronze soldier monument from Tõnismäe in Tallinn in 2007 has stated on its website that it plans several events for the duration the NATO ministers are present in Estonia. The organisation claims that their partners from Lithuania will arrive to Tallinn to carry out the events, but the police has not received any notices from them.
