Estonia borrows Soviet tank from Latvia

Print versionLatvian newspaper Chas edition was quoted by Ria Novosti, that Estonian armed forces borrowed Soviet-era T-55 tank from Latvia to hold military exercises, writes LETA.
According to the website, Estonia does not possess its own tanks, while Latvia has some Soviet-era tanks, presented to the Baltic state by the Czech Republic few years ago.
Estonian military intend to use Latvian tank to check the strength of several military facilities.
The Estonia's Ohtuleh" edition said Poland intended to present five T-55 tanks to Estonia in 1999, but the country rejected the proposal
