Number of new HIV cases in Estonia decreases

Print versionFrom the start of the year till October 5, 298 new HIV cases were registered in Estonia while in the first nine months of last year, there were 419 new cases, Postimees Online/LETA reports.
46 of the new HIV cases this year were prison inmates, Health Protection Inspection statistics show.
In September 24 new cases were registered and 4 were added in the first days of October.
During the years, 7,207 people altogether have been diagnosed with HIV in Estonia and 279 with AIDS.
