Paet meets with Hillary Clinton

The minister of foreign affairs of Estonia Urmas Paet will start his working visit to Washington on Thursday, writes Äripäev.ee/LETA.

 

During the visit, Paet will meet with the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

 

Over the two-day visit, Paet is also planning to meet with the National Security Advisor James Jones and the deputy Secretary of Defence Michele Flournoy as well as with Madeleine Albright who is the head of the group that is elaborating the new NATO strategic concept.

 

Paet will also take part in a discussion in the U.S. Strategic and International Research Centre and in a meeting in the Atlantic Council, talking about bilateral relations between Estonia and the United States and the issues regarding Afghanistan and NATO. The situation in Georgia and in Ukraine and issues regarding Russia as well as the energy and cyber security matters will also be talked about.
