Latvian actor Karlis Sebris dead at 94

Print versionOne of the greatest stars of Latvian theater – actor Karlis Sebris, passed away in Riga yesterday at the age of 94, informs LETA.
He became a member of the National Theater company in 1938, initially playing bit parts.
Sebris' golden age with the company began after World War II, shining in both lead and supporting roles – comical and dramatic. He also appeared in many screen roles.
Sebris was recipient of Latvia's Three Star Order and for lifetime achievement – the Latvian Theater Union's Award.
