Latvias have no sympathy for either Israel or the Palestinians

Print versionA majority of people (61.3%) surveyed in Latvia have "no sympathy" for either Israel or the Palestinians in their Middle East conflict, writes LETA.
6.8% say that they side with Israel, but 7.4% – with the Palestinians.
9.7% say that they sympathize with both sides.
It must be noted here that the survey was conducted by SKDS in November of 2008.
In the past ten days, the Israeli offensive – "Operation Cast Lead" – has killed about 500 Palestinians. Four Israelis have been killed by Hamas rocket strikes.
