Tukums 2000/TSS football team finished in last place in Optibet Latvian Higher League season on Sunday and will be relegated to the Latvian First League next season, while Dodo scored four goals in Liepaja's win, becoming the league's top scorer with eighteen goals, informs LETA.

On Sunday, Tukums 2000/TSS's debut in the Higher League ended with a 0:2 loss to RFS. Janis Ikaunieks scored both goals for the RFS. As a result, Tukums 2000/TSS finished the season in last place and will play in the Latvian First League next season.

Also on Sunday, Liepaja thrashed Jelgava 7:0 in the season's last game. Besides Dodo's four goals, Raivis Jurkovskis, Arturs Karasausks and Eduards Tidenbergs also scored for Liepaja.

In yet another game on Sunday, Daugavpils lost to Jurmala Spartak 1:3.

Riga placed first in Latvian Higher League this season with 69 points, RFS is in second place with 66 points, while Valmiera took the bronze with 47 points, followed by Ventspils with 44 points.

Liepaja had 42 points this season, Jurmala Spartaks 40 points, Jelgava 22 points, Daugavpils 20 points, Metta 16 points, while Tukums 2000/TSS finished the season in last place with 14 points.
