Estonia's Kanepi through to quarter finals in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin

Print versionFirst seed Estonian Kaia Kanepi, WTA No 109, has advanced to the quarter finals at the ITF tennis tournament in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, France, the sports portal of Estonia's public broadcaster ERR reported, referred LETA.
The 35-year-old Estonian beat French player Harmony Tan, WTA No 239, in the first round 7-5, 6-1 and overpowered another French player, Amandine Hesse, WTA No 286, in the second round.
Kanepi is next to play either seventh seed Turkish player Cagla Buyukakcay, WTA No 176, or Belgian player Lara Salden, WTA No 252.
