Number of calls received by Rescue Service for storm damage yesterday - largest since 2016

Print versionThe number of calls received by the State Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) on storm damage in the last day is the largest since 2016, according to LETA archives.
From Thursday morning to Friday morning, the SFRS received more than 320 such calls, but on June 18, 2016 - about 400.
The previous largest number of calls related to wind damage
was 270 in the storm of March 12-13 this year, when the wind in Liepaja increased
to 34 meters per second (m / s).
