French President Emmanuel Macron will visit Latvia at the end of September, as the Latvian President's Chancery told BC.

This will be the French president's first visit to Latvia since Jacques Chirac's official visit in 2001, the President's Chancery said.

Prior to Macron's visit on September 29 and 30, the President's Chancery will hold a media briefing on September 17, where the Chancery's head Andris Teikmanis and French Ambassador to Latvia Aurelie Royet-Gounin will inform the public about the French president's official visit to Latvia.
