 Cooler than normal temperatures are forecast for the next ten days in Latvia, according to the Global Forecast System, writes LETA. 

Temperatures, however, will not drop as low as last July when, for instance in Zoseni, temperatures as low as 4 degrees Celsius were recorded on July 12 and 13.

According to the Global Forecast System, the lowest temperature this week will be 7 degrees Celsius on the night to Thursday and on the night to Friday, in Latvia's eastern regions. Maximum daytime temperatures will range from 16 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Also in the forecast - gusty westerly and southerly winds and frequent showers.

Warm and even hot weather will return to Latvia halfway through the next week.
