 An extensive landscape fire broke out on Friday in Pillapalu village in the rural municipality of Anija near Tallinn in Harju County, the daily Postimees writes, cites LETA/BNS.

The alarm center received a call at 1:56 p.m. to the village of Pillapalu in the rural municipality of Anija, where an extensive landscape fire had broken out. 

According to spokespeople for the Rescue Board, preliminary data indicates that the length of the fire line is 700-900 meters. In addition, there are smaller pockets of fire in many places.

Harju County rescue teams drove to the scene, while the Aravete and Aegviidu teams have also been involved. As this is a hard-to-reach area, the Rescue Board's three ATVs are also present.
