Dozens war-era explosives found during construction works in Narva-Joesuu

Constructions works in the northeastern Estonian town of Narva-Joesuu unearthed dozens of war-era explosives on Tuesday, which were subsequently disarmed by members of the Rescue Board's explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) group.
In the course of construction works on the territory of the Narva children's shelter in the village of Auvere, 26 mortar shells were found along with 27 artillery shells, with one more mortar shell discovered at 3a Maslov Street in Narva, spokespeople for the regional rescue center told BNS.
The explosives were rendered harmless by the Rescue Board's EOD group on Tuesday.
