The 25th of February is the day of the “Semla” in Sweden,
also known as the Fat Tuesday-bun – traditional cardamom buns with whipped
cream and almond paste. The Latvia-Sweden Association and the House of
Languages will host a traditional Semla celebration on the 25th of February at
18.00 at the Avots Library, 64 Stabu Street, Riga. Come and try one of these
classic pastries and find out about its tradition in Sweden and the Nordic
countries!
