“I am glad that every year we see the level of the competition growing, in terms of their skills and the number of participants. Young players from China were invited as well, though they will not be able to come due to the measures taken to limit coronavirus. However, it does not mean less competition for our young table-tennis players. The Latvian team expects successful results by Sabina Musajeva and Daniels Kogans, who study at “Ridzene” sports school and were awarded medals the previous year. We would be happy to see great scores by Franciska Linina, Arturs Spalis and Deniss Vasiljevs, too,” says Ina Jozepsone.

For the Latvian youth, „Riga City Council’s Cup 2020” is the most important international event in the field of table tennis, supported continuously by Riga City Council, allowing the young athletes to play with competitors from different countries around the world.

We would like to invite the fans to show their support for the youth, by coming to the event or watching the competition video online.
