In FIBA Champions League action on Tuesday, Latvian basketball club VEF Riga lost to Spanish club Tenerife Iberostar 64:68, informed LETA/BNS. 

The Latvian club had an 18 point lead at one point in the third quarter, but the Spanish club was able to battle back to steal the win.

Alexander Madsen led the way for the Latvian club with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Gabriel Lundberg was the top play for Iberostar with 15 points.

In the Group C standings at the moment, Iberostar is in first place with six wins and zero losses, followed by Czech club Nymburk ERA with four wins and one loss, Russian club Nizhny Novgorod with three wins and two losses, Greek club Peristeru Winnmasters with three wins and two losses, German club Bamberg Brose with three wins and two losses, VEF RIga with one win and five losses, Turkish club Gaziantep with one win and four losses, and Montengrin club Bar Mornar with zero wins and five losses.

VEF Riga will play its next group match on December 4 at Nizhny Novgorod.
