Warm weather is forecast for this week in Latvia, with little precipitation and just a slight decrease in temperature, but temperatures are expected to drop steeply either this coming weekend or early next week, according to latest weather forecasts.

Thanks to a high-pressure system, weather in Southeast and Central Europe will be dry and unusually warm this week, with temperatures rising as high as 20 and even 25 degrees Celsius.

In the coming days, it will be partly cloudy in Latvia, with light to moderate southerly and westerly winds and a chance of light rain. Temperatures will range from 10 degrees to up to 18 degrees Celsius in southern regions. During nighttime hours, temperatures may decrease to 5 degrees centigrade.

At the end of the week, colder air will reach Latvia. Global Forecast System predicts subzero temperatures and snow at the beginning of next week in Latvia.
